Why convert to all private patient rooms?

Private patient rooms are a standard of care. The newly designed rooms will allow for more privacy, better sleep, extra space for family/visitors and larger staff support areas closer to patients resulting in more efficient treatment. Additionally, private rooms will help to minimize wait times for emergency department admissions.

When will construction begin and end?

Construction began on September 14, 2017 and will end by 2020. When complete, one-fourth (76,485 square feet) of the hospital will be new or rebuilt.

How long will the “Rich Heritage. Bright Future. Building on a Century of Care Capital Campaign” run?

The “Rich Heritage. Bright Future. Building on a Century of Care Capital Campaign” will run for three years (through 2019). The campaign proposes to raises a minimum of $3 million toward the overall project cost of $51 million.

What timeframe may I use to fulfill my pledge?

During this exceptional time for CalvertHealth, we want to ensure that we are accommodating each pledge on an individual basis. Therefore, we are accepting pledge fulfillments to be made within five years of the original pledge date.
