A little golf at the putting green...mostly wine and good times!

In 2023, CalvertHealth developed a new strategic plan that included expanding our investments in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine to meet the needs of our community. We have been fortunate to have great private-practice orthopedic surgeons in our community for many years, and in February 2025, CalvertHealth also opemed an orthopedic and sports medicine practice as part of CalvertHealth Medical Group. This new center is led by Dr. Uday Patel. Funds from the golf tournament will outfit this new orthopedic center that is conveniently located on the hospital campus, next door to the CalvertHealth Outpatient Rehabilitation Center and upstairs from the Calvert Medical Imaging Center, so clinical services, diagnostic imaging and physical therapy are all within easy reach on the hospital’s main campus. “Another goal of developing this Center is to be able to recruit highly skilled specialists to care for the many different and complex orthopedic conditions our community faces,” says Dr. Uday Patel. “Providing a local source for highly specialized services will allow easier access for our residents and allow them to remain at Calvert Health for their orthopedic needs.”
